Poetry by Alexis Diano Sikorski
Saturn
Saturn, in a bathtub and
far away,
quiet,
in her flow,
unashamed of her body;
not an eater of children.
sinks___
"him? what about him?"
he has a hole where he should have a heart!
I am out of my league___
debris flies but
so do satellites
and so can you_
if you grip tight
to the back ends of
space junk or
comets & pretend
you know
where to go___
you will.
Saturn, in a bathtub and
far away,
quiet,
in her flow,
unashamed of her body;
not an eater of children.
sinks___
"him? what about him?"
he has a hole where he should have a heart!
I am out of my league___
debris flies but
so do satellites
and so can you_
if you grip tight
to the back ends of
space junk or
comets & pretend
you know
where to go___
you will.
