Poetry by Cindy O'Quinn
Seasonal Glass
i looked through the window its pane held no glass a look into the future caused me to dwell too long in the past touching the ragged edges drew blood and created tears a life with many scars far too many for my years scattered like ice crystals blown into nervous winds covering worry’s glass burning fingertips that linger with no end |
Lost
when i was lost like alice i found that i was mad much like the hatter i flushed my dreams down a flooded rabbit hole something bad took root and grew to be ten feet tall all the pretty horses painted shades of twenty colors floated up to greet me on top of tomorrow’s rainbow in the shallow waters beneath i rode away on the tail of a cheshire cat life’s dues marked fully paid |
