Poetry by Courtney Leigh
Venus’ belt
motion me the moon
dark side
cliff in retrograde
turning plunging into
the estuary
of a great shadow
protruded fangs
covetous belly
i’ll take you in
where the ache
subsides
embed you in
my copper flank
bed of margarite
wistful pitfall
hot potato hot
skin glow terrestrial
turn you serpent
turn me spear
where the ache
abides
you in my snare
motion me the moon
dark side
cliff in retrograde
turning plunging into
the estuary
of a great shadow
protruded fangs
covetous belly
i’ll take you in
where the ache
subsides
embed you in
my copper flank
bed of margarite
wistful pitfall
hot potato hot
skin glow terrestrial
turn you serpent
turn me spear
where the ache
abides
you in my snare
