Poetry by Elisabeth Horan
Go ahead - kick this hornet's nest
I don't want to play anymore -
No sunshine day charades.
I don't want to be a good girl -
No pigtails, barrettes or braids.
I want to shave my skull clean, be it cancer-morph; or punk
Lisbeth, I said, is my name to you -
No bimboms, perms or highlights...
Bring not some solicitor's rape kit.
I want it to glare in the sun, atomic -
No little woman here, folks.
