Mixed media art by Jesse Holth

Lessons in Anatomy
This series is called "Lessons in Anatomy". It's inspired by the way plants can look so much like human organs, and is a reflection of the interconnectedness between all things. I wanted to highlight the processes of nature, how things beat and breathe like we do. We tend to think of our bodies as separate, solitary—but what we have inside is also scattered all around us. My aim was to personify in order to create a sense of animism. This is a theme present in most of my work, and my daily life. I am you / you are me / they are we.
