Digital photography art by kerry rawlinson

Am'ker
I lean towards exploration of the edges of things; the philosophical peripheries of humanity. With my friend and model Amanda Walker, I wanted to explore the textures, tropes and fantasies of what it means to be "Woman." Woman as Creator, Diva, Shiva, Mother Earth, Tramp, and everything in-between. The result is a portfolio of widely-ranging pieces, entitled "Am'ker." I never use Photoshop, but employ a variety of hand-done and digital effects, allowing the piece to guide me and develop in the direction I think it's asking me to go.

Decades ago, autodidact & bloody-minded optimist kerry rawlinson gravitated from sunny Zambian skies to solid Canadian soil. Fast-forward: she pursues Art & Literature’s Muses around the Okanagan, barefoot; her patient husband ensuring she’s fed. Work features lately in HCE Review, NewFlashFiction Review, Salomé, ReflexFiction, Riddled With Arrows; Arc Poetry, fixionalmagazine, Geist,  Boned, PedestalMagazine, pioneertown. kerryrawlinson.tumblr.com; @kerryrawli.
