I would consider myself to be an autistic, amateur, multimedia artist. I think the fact that I have no formal training has freed me to develop my own style of artistic expression, unhindered by adherence to any one form or tradition. The themes I explore are eclectic, but are often influenced by my being diagnosed with autism as an adult rather than in infancy—I can look to my past and see how certain behaviours were and continue to be influenced by the condition, and this gets reflected in both my work and working method, as do the depression and anxiety that I have had for many years.
